Kaitlyn is an Austin-based artist who wears many hats, including activist, advocate, multi-media artist, business owner, educator, and designer. However, their favorite hat to wear is garment artist, or -often- costume technologist.

They bring with them an expertise in couture construction techniques, tailoring and draping, and crafts they refined while receiving their MFA in Costume Technology from the University of Texas at Austin and BFA in Theatre (Technical Production) from Texas State University.

Their work has been featured in Vogue and spans from off-Broadway productions to local collaborations with talent such as Austin based drag queen Ritzy Bitz. Their practice explores the potential of bizarre, unique, and strange non-traditional materials in fashion and costume construction.

They treat each project as a living artifact of collaboration, between material, model, designer, maker, and audience. Across projects, their work is driven by a commitment to craft, experimentation, and building garments that are both structurally inventive and visually expressive, while remaining grounded in excellent execution, problem solving, and collaboration.
